Help promote native tree species!

Preliminary Information: This initiative was booked exclusively by a Volkswagen team using Volkswagen’s “Gemeinsam Engagiert” team event fund as part of the Role Model Program. The Wolfsburg City Forest welcomes support for the promotion of native tree species (planting, natural regeneration) to reduce the competitive pressure these species face in forestry.

The main task at hand is to prune back an invasive species, the late-blooming bird cherry. 

Some physical fitness and an interest in nature are a plus.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and feel free to bring work gloves if you have them. Otherwise, gloves and any other necessary tools will be available on site.

Food and drinks will not be provided; please bring your own .

There are no restrooms on site in the forest. If necessary, you can drive to a nearby restroom.

The address listed on Porschestraße is not the location of the volunteer assignment, but is currently just a placeholder.
The location and meeting point will be determined based on specific needs and will be finalized and communicated one week before the volunteer assignment. It is expected to be in the Nordstadt area .
