About the volunteering opportunity

Many older people in care homes have little opportunity to come into contact with younger generations. The intergenerational quiz brings residents of the AWO home and VW employees together at a shared game table. In mixed teams, they exchange knowledge, laugh together and experience how much fun intergenerational cooperation can be.

Your Tasks

You can help with various tasks on this day:

  • You are assigned to a resident as a team partner and accompany them through the entire quiz.
  • Together with your team partner, you enter a team name into the tablet and navigate through the Kahoot quiz.
  • You read the questions out loud, help them think and enter the answers so that your team scores as many points as possible.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
You are open and communicative and enjoy talking to people. You don't need any previous knowledge or special skills.

What to bring

You don't need to bring anything. Tablets and all other materials are available on site. Drinks will be available during the quiz and we will eat together afterwards.

Some residents can no longer hear or see very well and are dependent on clear communication. Please speak slowly and clearly without increasing the volume excessively.

Deinen Status zur Einwilligung kannst Du jederzeit in Deinem Profil einsehen und darin bis zu 24 Stunden vor dem Einsatztag bearbeiten. 

Du kannst diese Einwilligung jederzeit ohne Angabe von Gründen gegenüber der Volkswagen AG z.B. per E-Mail (gemeinsamengagiert@volkswagen.de) oder per Post (an die Volkswagen AG, Kst. 1866, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg) widerrufen.

AWO Wohn- und Pflegeheim "Goethestraße" Wolfsburg

In the AWO residential and nursing home Goethestraße, we want to create a personal living space for the residents, maintain as much independence as possible and thus enable a largely individual lifestyle.

In addition to individual care, group offers and seasonal festivals, there is also cooperation with daycare centers and schools.

For supporters of VfL Wolfsburg, the fan club "Goethe-Wölfe" has a variety of activities ready, such as trips to home games, watching the away games together, and occasional contact with players.
