About the volunteering opportunity

The organization carries out various restoration projects focused on waterway and nature conservation. The specific activity will be determined based on the date and current conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, an alternative nature conservation activity may be offered on short notice.

Your Tasks
During your volunteer work, you’ll help maintain hedges and riparian vegetation, as well as perform other hands-on tasks to protect and enhance aquatic habitats.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
No special knowledge or skills are required; you’ll be taught everything you need to know, and of course, you’ll also receive plenty of background information. You should speak German or English.
What to bring
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes (rubber boots if necessary) that can get dirty.

ASV Hillerse e.V. is a non-profit fishing and nature conservation association from Hillerse in the district of Gifhorn. Since it was founded in 1981, the association has been committed to promoting angling, maintaining and developing bodies of water and protecting nature and the environment. In addition to looking after various bodies of water on the River Oker and in the region, the association carries out renaturation measures, environmental campaigns and educational activities. Active youth work, fishing courses and voluntary nature conservation projects complete the diverse range of activities offered by the association.
