Volunteering day: Help with the move and the new layout of our school garden

As our school is being rebuilt, our current school garden has to make way as new parts of the building are being constructed on this site.

For the duration of the construction work, we are allowed to move our school garden to the grounds of the neighboring daycare center.

Our raised beds are to be moved to the neighboring property, where additional raised beds will have to be built.

In addition, two smaller apple trees are to be dug up and moved into suitable containers. Several currant and blueberry bushes also need to be dug up and planted in containers.

In addition, the compost is to be moved, the tool cupboard set up and the garden tools transported there.

The fence in the old school garden is also to be dismantled and stored.

Manual skills and experience in gardening are an advantage.

Please wear appropriate work clothing. We also recommend that you bring work gloves.

It would be great if you could bring a cordless screwdriver, a shovel, a wheelbarrow or a hand truck for the day. If you have a car (with trailer) this would also help us a lot. However, this is not a prerequisite for your participation. We will contact you again in good time before the event and ask if you could bring the tools mentioned.

Everything else as well as catering for all participants will be provided.

Nach Deiner Anmeldung zum Projekt erscheint ein Pop-up-Fenster, bei dem wir Deine Einwilligung zur Verarbeitung und Veröffentlichung von Foto-, Film- und Tonaufnahmen abfragen. Die Einwilligung ist freiwillig und die Teilnahme am Projekt ist auch ohne Einwilligung möglich. Deinen Status zur Einwilligung kannst Du jederzeit in Deinem Profil einsehen und darin bis zu 24 Stunden vor dem Einsatztag bearbeiten. 

Du kannst diese Einwilligung jederzeit ohne Angabe von Gründen gegenüber der Volkswagen AG z.B. per E-Mail (gemeinsamengagiert@volkswagen.de) oder per Post (an die Volkswagen AG, Kst. 1866, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg) widerrufen.
