About the volunteering opportunity
Preliminary Information: This initiative was booked exclusively by a Volkswagen team using Volkswagen’s “Gemeinsam Engagiert” team event fund as part of the Role Model Program. For our project, we plan to level the ground and lay a solid slab foundation. We will then work together to build and secure a carport on top of it.

Your Tasks
- Preparation of the ground (marking out the area, leveling and compacting the ground)
- Construction of a stable slab foundation as the basis for the carport
- Joint assembly of the carport construction
- Aligning and securely fastening the carport to the foundation
- Support with final work
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
Technical know-how and skills are an advantage but not a prerequisite. The project will be prepared, accompanied and supervised by our building services department.

The Youth and Educational Services of AWO Braunschweig support children, adolescents, and families facing difficult life situations. The goal is to foster young people’s development, strengthen families, and enable them to lead independent lives. To this end, the AWO offers, among other things, counseling, outpatient services, group homes, day programs, and support for parents and adolescents. In doing so, it works closely with families, schools, and youth welfare offices.
