About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for hard-working support for a mowing job on one of our meadow areas in Braunschweig to keep a steep slope clear!
Your Tasks
Mowing our meadow involves the following tasks:
- Mowing the meadow: Operating mowing equipment to maintain the area.
- Removing the cuttings: raking up and transporting away the cut grass.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
If you don't speak German, we can communicate in English.
No special requirements are necessary. Everyone is welcome to pitch in and help us with the mowing!

What to bring
If possible, you should bring the following with you on the day of work:
- Work gloves: To protect your hands when working with tools and materials.
- Sturdy shoes: Sturdy and closed shoes for safe working on the site.
- Weather-appropriate clothing: Depending on the weather, rainproof clothing or sun protection (sun hat, sun cream) for being outdoors.
- Drinks: Please bring enough drinks for yourself, as we may be working in strong sunlight.
We will provide coffee and cake during the lunch break. Please bring your own cold drinks and other refreshments.

The project will not take place at the given address (Schunterstraße 17), which is the office of BUND Braunschweig.
The project will take place at another location in / around Braunschweig. The exact meeting point and the location of the meadow will be communicated.

Mit Deiner Anmeldung erklärst Du Dich damit einverstanden, dass Deine Kontaktdaten bei Bedarf an die Volkswagen AG übergeben werden, sodass ggf. weitere organisatorische Punkte mit Dir geteilt werden können.

Die Einwilligung ist freiwillig und die Teilnahme am Projekt ist auch ohne Einwilligung möglich. Deinen Status zur Einwilligung kannst Du jederzeit in Deinem Profil einsehen und darin bis zu 24 Stunden vor dem Einsatztag bearbeiten.
Du kannst diese Einwilligung jederzeit ohne Angabe von Gründen gegenüber der Volkswagen AG z.B. per E-Mail (gemeinsamengagiert@volkswagen.de) oder per Post (an die Volkswagen AG, Kst. 1866, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg) widerrufen.

The BUND group Braunschweig engages itself above all in the practical nature protection in approx. 25 biotopes in Braunschweig and environment. In addition, we take a stand on interventions in nature, e.g. on development plans, bring us to politics and administration on environmentally relevant issues and cooperate with schools in the field of environmental education.
